Data were coded for themes relating to participants’ experiences, their role in teaching SRH education, and the factors that facilitated or limited their teaching. The majority of participants were university-based nurses who did not consider their teaching of SRH to be a core aspect of their role. Perceived deficits in their knowledge of and skills to teach SRH were highlighted, along with significant time constraints and a lack of support for their teaching. Female participants were generally more confident in their teaching than male participants. New educational approaches were needed to support participants, improve their confidence, increase their role in teaching and improve the quality of their teaching.All
