Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

AutoCAD is used by more than 13 million users worldwide. The software is installed on desktop computers, servers, and mobile devices.
AutoCAD is an industry-standard, comprehensive application for creating 2D and 3D drawings and models, drawings with associated documentation, and other 2D and 3D data. Other products that are compatible with AutoCAD are Plotter Studio, a plotting application used to create PDF files that can be printed on laser printers, and DWG Converter, an AutoCAD app that converts DWG files into other file formats, such as PDF, PICT, and EPS files.
How AutoCAD Works
AutoCAD software is a desktop CAD system that allows you to draw, modify, and publish drawings. It is used for creating 2D and 3D drawings. AutoCAD software is available as a PC, mobile, and web app.
AutoCAD is used for creating 2D and 3D drawings.
AutoCAD software was developed using the windows programming model, meaning that users can open and work on multiple AutoCAD files concurrently. The software is designed to integrate easily into other programs and applications, which makes it easy to share drawings with others and use associated documentation.
A menu bar provides easy access to AutoCAD tools and commands.
A drawing window allows you to view and edit your drawings and associated data.
A command window is a second window that displays the last command performed in a drawing.

CSS: how to build a background image that extends to the right edge
I have a picture that’s 960px wide on the website, and I’m trying to figure out how to have a background that extends to the right edge of that picture.
I’ve tried making the background cover 100%, but I get gaps between the sides of the picture and the background.
This doesn’t look right, you shouldn’t have to:
background-position: 50% 0;
If you set the background-size to cover and you have positioned the image at 50% in the top left corner, this should be a full-width background.
If you really need the background to extend to the right edge of the image, then you should have an image that spans the right edge of the page as well as the top and bottom edges. Then just use that image as the background.
You should not do this. You’re wrapping an image in a block-level element and using a background image.
You’ll have to have something on the right of the image to cover the gap, like you’d have with a background image.

What’s New in the?
Export your drawings to various formats, including PDF, 3D PDF and Dynamic Link, with a click of a button. (video: 1:55 min.)
With Markup Assist, design changes can be made right inside the PDF or Dynamic Link document, without the need to open or close the file. Plus, you can edit the inserted design documents without using the Markup Assistant.
Save precious paper and time by importing design changes into your project. The faster you change the design, the better for you and your company.
You can generate an editable version of the XML that you can email to customers or the design review board.
Get your design project back on track. Convert your drawings into Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or PDF so you can review, edit, or print them.
In the future, CAD can communicate with other systems, such as ERP. You can also create text boxes or other CAD symbology in Microsoft Word. The Import tool will create well-formed XML from those symbology, allowing you to import that into any AutoCAD document.
Make document review and approval easier by converting reports and other documents into CAD. Use AutoCAD to convert existing Microsoft Word, PDF, and PowerPoint documents into CAD. Use the import tools to convert them into properly formatted XML documents that can be stored in the database.
Get instant feedback. You can send the XML reports to customers to give them feedback or submit them for approval.
Now you can import text and image files into AutoCAD. You can also quickly import a template from MS Word into your drawing.
The file-based import tool allows you to import text from Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and other programs.
You can also convert and store drawings in PDF, 3D PDF, and Dynamic Link formats. This helps you to create documents in different formats. For example, you can create a PDF for final review, and use a Dynamic Link to preview that design on the web.
More custom editing functions. You can make changes directly in the drawing, using the Custom Editing tools. You can edit the text in objects, polylines, and arcs, and you can define custom styles for many symbols.
Import objects and edit them directly. You can load and edit drawing objects such as polylines and arc
